OUR GOALS

This year we are hoping to advertise Human Rights Day on December 10th. These events help us finance petitions and letters we write. The letters we have written in the past have been about political issues, the environment, diseases, and much more.

Our main goals are to:

  1. Raise awareness about global human rights issues

  2. Organize fundraisers in order to:

    1. raise money to write letters to important figures about solutions to problems

    2. donate money to charitable organizations fighting for human rights.

  3. Gain more interest from younger years and demonstrate what the main aims of the organization are.

  4. Make the club more aware at this school.

  5. Encourage younger students to write letters for the project.

ABOUT AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL AT NATIONS

The Nations Amnesty International club is based on the global movement called Amnesty International, that aims to fight for human rights all around the world and campaign for justice:

"We are independent of any political ideology, economic interest and religion."

- It is a global movement of more than 7 million people who take injustices and campaign for a world where human rights are enjoyed.

- It was founded in 1961 by a man called Peter Benenson.
